Job summary

Jubilee Highland Hills in San Antonio is seeking a Campus Athletic Coordinator to lead the campus athletics program for PK-12 students. This salaried, exempt role oversees events, schedules, tryouts and league coordination, reporting to the Campus Principal and District Athletic Director.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in a related field and brings coaching, leadership, and strong communication skills to build a vibrant extracurricular athletics program aligned with campus goals.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience required for extracurricular athletics programs.
• Sports administrative experience preferred for event and league coordination.
• Leadership and team supervision capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement campus sporting events.
• Serve as campus Point of Contact for all leagues.
• Organize and host tryouts for grade level teams.
• Establish and manage schedule of practice times for all teams for each sport.
• Establish and manage schedule of games for all teams for each sport.
• Ensure calendar is posted on campus website and disseminated to parents after principal reviews and approves the calendar.
• Ensure campus operations managers have the calendar.
• Plan & organize coaches meetings to cover topics including training, league rules/compliance, and team schedules.
• Serve as the administrator in charge during games or assign game administrators as approved.
• Schedule and coordinate all events at gyms and fields.
• Communicate with parents regarding athletic program inquiries.
• Ensure student athletes have accident insurance and maintain declination records.
• Interview coaches for coaching duties and make hiring recommendations to Campus Principal.
• Requisition stipends for coaches at the end of each sport season.
• Disseminate and maintain concussion and sports physical forms.
• Work with campus admin, coaches, and teachers to verify eligibility of student-athletes.
• Submit bus transportation requisitions with campus administrator approval.
• Responsible for fundraising, uniforms, compliance, travel scheduling, and practices/games.
• Coordinate with Lead Performance Coach for sport-specific training.
• Ensure facility is locked after late games.
• Coordinate team parties and sport banquets with campus admins.
• Background checks for volunteers; verify drivers' records for volunteers transporting students.
• Collaborate with administration and coaches on extracurricular scheduling.
• Coordinate strength and conditioning sessions for varsity teams with Lead Performance Coach.
• Develop a positive coaching culture exemplifying leadership habits.
