Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time) in Cheyney, PA to monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will use computer/tablet tools, respond to incidents, and help deter security issues while supporting a safe campus.

The role offers part-time hours with daytime night shifts, and a pay rate of $17.95 per hour. Applicants must meet age, licensing and background check requirements and be ready to work on

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background checks required under federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, and maintain visitor sign-in procedures in accordance with campus policies.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned campus buildings, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, complete required reports, and communicate professionally with campus personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.
