Job summary

Commonpoint Queens (Samuel Field YM and YWHA) is looking for a Camper Care Director to oversee the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellness of campers. This role involves leading initiatives and serving as a liaison with families while managing camper intake and care documentation.

Applicants should have a strong background in youth development and mental health, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. This is a part-time position until April 2026 and a full-time role during the camp season in Virginia Beach.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in youth development, camping, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of child/adolescent development and mental health.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead health initiatives and support for campers and staff.
• Manage camper intake and care log processes.
• Serve as liaison with camper families.
