Job summary

The Michigan Democratic Party is seeking a Training Director for the 2026 Coordinated Campaign based in Detroit, Michigan. This role develops tools, curriculum, and training materials to support staff and volunteers, working with stakeholders and campaigns to run a comprehensive training program that builds core organizing skills across the organization.

Qualifications

• Ability to synthesize complex information into digestible training materials for staff at multiple levels.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Experience developing and delivering training for mid- and entry-level staff and volunteers.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced campaign environment with long or irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive training program for staff and volunteers.
• Collaborate with Organizing Deputies to fill training gaps.
• Create and maintain systems for tracking information and deliverables across organizing verticals.
• Coach staff on the skills required of Field Organizers as needed.
• Lead statewide trainings in person and virtually, including weekly webinars and onboarding sessions.
