Warm Beach Camp Ministries seeks Camp SunSparrow Counselors to provide servant leadership for volunteers and campers, ensuring safety, professionalism, and fun in all activities. Overnight camp housing is required.
You will mentor volunteers, lead staff, and coordinate with Team Leaders to deliver crafts, recreation, and evening programming while upholding camp safety and mission. Must be 18+ and CPR/First-Aid certified.
Camp SunSparrow Counselors are responsible for providing leadership support to Camp SunSparrow leadership as it pertains to SunSparrow volunteers and campers. This position requires servant-leadership in the areas of spiritual, emotional, relational, and physical needs of counselors, campers, and volunteers (high school-adult). In this position, Counselors are expected to maintain an environment of professionalism, safety, and fun. Overnight stay in camp lodging is essential for this position.

The Camp SunSparrow Team Leader is responsible for supervising volunteer Small Group Leaders and Hospitality Team Members.

Previous work experience in a camp setting is preferred.
Previous work or volunteer experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is also preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of campers, staff/volunteers, and parents.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
