Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a CAMP Statewide Coordinator to support the CAMP Statewide Director in planning and coordinating program activities across California campuses. The role combines project management, writing, presenting, and high-level administrative support to strengthen partnerships and CAMP's multi-campus initiatives.

  • Minimum 5 years in program development, implementation and evaluation.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership experience.

Job description

Your Role on the Team

As the liaison of the California Alliance for Minority Participation (CAMP) Statewide Director (SD), the CAMP Statewide Coordinator is responsible for supporting the SD through a combination of project management, writing, presenting, and high‑level administrative and partnership relationship support functions. The coordinator will plan the annual CAMP Statewide Symposium, assist in the UC CAMP system‑wide advisory board activities, and coordinate and implement projects to support CAMP’s multi‑campus efforts.

  • Strong organizational skills to multi‑task and coordinate events with demanding timeframes and keen attention to detail and accuracy to maintain records, prepare reports and ensure compliance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals and analyses.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office software programs, with intermediate skills in Excel and database systems and other digital tools required.
  • Strong knowledge of up‑to‑date information on higher education policies and issues. Strong policy analysis techniques to assess their impact on program strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and / or equivalent experience or training.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in program development, implementation and evaluation.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in progressive leadership.
Preferred
  • Strong knowledge and experience working in STEM education and pathway development, implementation and evaluation.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in higher education administration.
