The American Youth Foundation seeks a Leader in Training Coordinator to supervise a team of LITs and support their transition from camper to staff member. You will collaborate with In Camp and Activities Coordinators to shape the in-camp program and lead leadership development, scheduling, and coverage planning.

This role emphasizes mentoring, effective communication, and creating an inclusive, engaging environment for youth, with on-site housing and meals provided during training and camp

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 21 years old.
• 2–3 years working or volunteering with youth in recreational or educational settings.
• Professional experience supervising peers or 2–3 years of student leadership.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing of LITs and campers.
• Manage behavior challenges with focus on social-emotional development.
• Supervise and train a team of LITs with daily support.
• Provide guidance on leadership, communication, and group management.
