Job summary

Hume Christian Camps at Hume Lake seeks a Food Service Assistant to help prepare and serve meals, supporting a welcoming and sanitary dining experience for guests. The role involves working in various kitchen positions and following safety directions from supervisors to ensure a smooth operation.

The ideal candidate is 18 or older, with no required prior experience, and commits to the camp's faith and Gospel-centered mission.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or a dependent resident in Hume Lake housing.
• No previous experience or specific skills required.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and work outdoors or indoors as needed.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work under supervision.
• Must agree with and support Hume Christian Camps’ Statement of Faith.
• Must have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel through word and deed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to guests by serving in one of the following assigned roles of the kitchen – Cook, Baker, Dishwasher, Host/Hostess, Pantry Assistant, or Commissary Assistant.
• Follow all safety procedures and directions provided by supervisors.
• Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, contributing to a Christ-centered team environment.
• Represent Hume Christian Camps’ values and mission through conduct, attitude, and service.
