Job summary

American Youth Foundation is seeking a Health Officer to oversee health care and medications for staff and campers at Merrowvista, Tuftonboro, NH. The role includes on-site housing during training and camp sessions, and 24/7 availability for emergencies.

The Health Officer collaborates with the program team, communicates with families, and ensures compliance with NH health regulations and AYF standards. Optional leadership with the Health team during daily operations is available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license in NH or compact state.
• Previous work with youth, campers, or staff preferred.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and coordinate care with healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Health Center operations and treatment of campers and staff.
• Provide overnight supervision and act as nighttime first responder.
• Assist in staff training on Health Center procedures and disease control.
• Maintain health logs and medication administration records.
• Coordinate with off-site medical providers and parent communication as needed.
• Prepare closing summer report and update Health Center manual.
