Crossover seeks a Camp Coordinator to drive K-8 student motivation at on-site campuses across the US with relocation options to Toronto. You will lead life-skills workshops, mentor students, and use Coachbot analytics to track progress toward weekly goals.
The role requires 3+ years with K-8 students, a Bachelor’s degree, and comfort using AI tools to manage content. On-day benefits and on-site work are provided.
This is not a teaching position. This is a motivation role.
The most meaningful support you can offer a student who reached 99% of their target is to refuse to accept it as complete. If that expectation feels uncomfortable, this role is not for you. If it energizes you because maintaining high standards is how you demonstrate belief in a student's capability, continue reading.
At Alpha, academic learning happens through AI-driven applications. No classroom lectures. No traditional textbooks. Half of your workday is dedicated to facilitating one-hour life-skills workshops covering public speaking, focus, and constructive feedback exchange. The remaining half involves working with students individually or in small groups, analyzing their progress via Coachbot analytics, and driving each student toward 100% completion of their weekly application goals. You will not follow a rigid script — workshops provide a foundation, but top performers in this role customize them and create new content when needs arise.
A successful quarter means every student in your cohort completes their weekly app targets, passes the Test2Pass for all life-skills workshops, and 90%+ report positive sentiment toward you. Falling short on any of these three metrics means falling short of the role's expectations. During your first year you will internalize the operational playbook; as you demonstrate your ability to maintain standards, opportunities open to advance to Lead Guide, where you mentor new team members while continuing direct student engagement.
If you are drawn to conventional teaching methods, prefer pre-packaged curriculum, or view warmth and rigorous standards as incompatible, this role will not suit you. If your background includes athletic coaching, camp counseling, tutoring where you refused to let students give up, or performance work that commanded the attention of young children, the final stage before receiving an offer is a full-day on-campus session coaching actual Alpha students.
Guarantee that every student in your K-8 cohort completes their weekly learning targets, achieves mastery in each life skill, and concludes the year reporting they valued you.
Alpha reimagines the school day around faster learning, stronger mentorship, and more time for students to build real-world skills.
Alpha hires teachers (guides), operators, admissions experts, school & curriculum leaders, and remote team members.
Alpha offers six-figure roles for people ready to help build a radically better school experience.
Alpha is fast-moving, ambitious, and student focused. It’s for people who want to improve the system, not maintain it.
There is so much to cover for this exciting role, and space here is limited.
