Job summary

Qualifications

Unlike traditional restaurant kitchens, our camp kitchen focuses on simple recipes, supportive teamwork, flexible scheduling, and creating a positive experience for campers and staff. If you’re looking for meaningful work in a fun community atmosphere, we’d love to hear from you.

At College Settlement Camp, you’ll spend your summer working with a diverse and welcoming team while helping provide healthy, enjoyable meals for children and staff in a beautiful camp setting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and organizing food items

• Cook and serve meals according to approved camp menus and recipes

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining area

• Properly store, handle, and dispose of food in accordance with health and safety regulations

• Operate kitchen equipment including grills, ovens, steam cookers, mixers, and microwaves

• Assist with inventory, food orders, and supply organization

• Work collaboratively with the Food Service Manager and kitchen team

• Support special events including cookouts, barbeques, and picnics

• Help create a positive, welcoming dining experience for campers and staff

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and recycling procedures

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
