Job summary

YMCA Camp Kern in Oregonia, Ohio, is seeking a Camp Activity Leader to support leadership facilitation, programming, and weekend activities, while ensuring guest well‑being and a high standard of service.

You will develop relationships with guests, run programs safely, maintain equipment, attend trainings, and collaborate with the camp team to create engaging activities across many areas. Must be at least 18, with CPR/First Aid within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months guest service, group leadership, or hospitality experience preferred.
• CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen required within first 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop effective relationships with guests and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist in year‑round group activity leadership and hosting.
• Facilitate and monitor programs to ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, and keep records as required.
• Attend trainings and in‑services to maintain knowledge and certifications.

• Build participant interest and relationships by offering engaging activities.
• Keep activity spaces clean and organized; report concerns or incidents to supervisor.

**Camp Activity Leader**YMCA Camp KernOregonia, OH**$11.00-$13.20/Hourly****\\*Rate of pay is based on knowledge / training in various activity areas and will increase as training is completed\\* Activity areas include, challenge course facilitation, lifeguarding, trail ride guide, zip line guide and more.****Position Summary:**Provide excellent guest services and work with the Camp Kern team to administer leadership facilitation and programming, weekend programming, support services, and group well-being of the utmost quality.
