Description

- Design camera module structures and packaging in CAD.- Design injection molded, sheet metal, PCB and other component parts.- Author detailed 2D manufacturing and inspection drawings.- Perform rigorous tolerance analysis of module designs and component parts.- Interface with component part and camera manufacturing partners on design manufacturability and resolution of mechanical issues.- Author clear documentation on mechanical inspection and test requirements.- Interface with FEA engineers on evaluation of camera designs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree in mechanical design/mechatronics/computer science or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical design using CAD 3D molding and drafting package (Experience with NX a plus).
• Basic structural and thermal Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Tolerance analysis of high complexity and precision mechanical designs with excellent understanding of GD&T.
• Demonstrated ability to design for plastic injection molding and metal stamping for mass production.
• Experience with various materials (research, selection, testing, process ability).
• Author documentations on mechanical inspection and fixture design.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $183,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
