Job summary

Apple's Camera ISP team in Cupertino seeks an extraordinary algorithm engineer to advance image capture and processing for all Apple product cameras.

You will work on core camera/ISP/machine learning technologies based on Apple-designed image signal processing pipelines and hardware components, such as the Apple Neural Engine, shaping how Apple cameras capture, process, and render high-quality stills and video.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of image signal processing for digital cameras.
• Strong embedded coding skills and understanding of OOP; proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar.
• Self-driven approach to work, with a focus on time-sensitive practices, from problem identification to prototyping solutions and validation.

Responsibilities

• Algorithm Development, Prototyping, and Implementation—Develop lightweight computer vision algorithms suitable for embedded systems, focusing on efficiency and performance.
• Simulation and Testing—Use camera simulations to prototype and test algorithms before hardware implementation.
• Collaboration and Integration—Work closely with SOC architecture, firmware, and other camera tech units to integrate algorithms effectively.
