Job summary

AMG Vanadium LLC is seeking Production Team Members for our Cambridge Plant to support safety, environmental compliance, quality, production and product delivery in melting and roasting operations.

The role requires operating electric arc furnaces or roasters, working 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends, and applying lean manufacturing principles to improve processes. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and experience in heavy manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing environment desired; steel or hot metal experience a plus.
• Heavy machine operator experience (loader, dozer, forklift, dump truck) preferred.
• Team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Willingness to work 12-hour swing/rotating shifts, weekends included.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric arc furnace and/or roaster, system controls and mobile equipment as required.
• Maximize productivity and optimize equipment uptime to meet customer quality and delivery requirements.
• Engage in team problem-solving and decision-making activities.

• Utilize lean principles and 6S to support process improvements.

AMG Vanadium (AMG V) is seeking Production Team Members to join our growing organization at our Cambridge Plant. AMG Vanadium’s Production Team Member is responsible for the safety, environmental compliance, quality, production, and product delivery in AMG V’s melting and roasting operation.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Comply with all AMG V policies and procedures, safety and environmental requirements, and AMG’s Code of Business Conduct
• Embrace and promote the AMG V culture in all day-to-day activities
• Operate AMG V’s electric arc furnace and/or roaster, system controls, and mobile equipment as required
• Maximize productivity and optimize equipment uptime to ensure customer quality and delivery requirements are met
• Engage in team problem-solving and decision-making activities
• Utilize principals of lean manufacturing, including 6S, to support operational and process improvements
• Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills to create a high performing team

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
