Neptune North is seeking exceptional Java-enabled software professionals to own end-to-end delivery from requirements through release, in a US-based context. You’ll tackle complex problems and work directly with business users in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

• Final salary dependent on experience, with the expectation ranging between $90-$175K/year

Requirements

• Excellent programming and technology skills, including an in-depth understanding of and recent experience in Java (8 or above, ideally 17 or above)

• An ability to own all aspects of a delivery from start to finish; fromestablishingbusiness requirements to development,testing,and release management

• An interest in financial markets and the desire to understand trade processing and lifecycle from a user perspective

• The attention to detail, strong communicationskills, and the ability to work well both in a team and independently

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field, with a minimum 3.3 GPA from a top-ranked university, andevidence of strong academics prior

Preferred

• Experience with a portfolio management system such as Calypso, Murex,Orchestrade,or Front Arena

• Front and middle-office experience at a bank, asset managementfirmor hedge fund

• A fair understanding of some relevant products (rates, FX, equities, commodities, credit)

• Experience working directly with business users in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

• Delivering industry-leading solutions to the highest design, testing and operational standards, meeting challenging SLAs

• Working directly with business usersof the systems todeliverenhancements and reduce operational risk

• Working closely and proactively with other technology teamsacross the company

Interview Process

CV Review > Codility Exercise > Aptitude Test > Interviews

1. Coding Challenge – We would like to get a better sense of your programming potential. You will be sent some questions hosted by Codility to be completed at a time that suits you.

2. Aptitude Test – The next step is to complete a speed-driven aptitude assessment.

3. Management Interviews – You will meet with members of our Technology Management Team. These will be a combination of technical questions and an assessment of team and cultural fit.

4. Team Technical Interview – As a final step you will meet 1-2 other team members for a technical interview.
