Job summary

LKQ Corporation is seeking motivated individuals to join our team in a role that supports service managers and estimators in documenting repairs and providing high-quality automotive service. This position involves driving a company vehicle and performing mechanical and electrical repairs, including ADAS calibrations and OEM software programming.

The candidate will develop relationships with new customers and deliver excellent service to existing clients, while following established procedures

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of ADAS experience.
  • Diploma/Certification from Technical School or higher in Mechanical Repair or Electrical/Diagnostic Repair.

Responsibilities

  • Assist service managers and estimators with repair documentation.
  • Drive company vehicle safely.
  • Perform bumper-to-bumper mechanical and electrical repairs, including OEM software programming and ADAS calibrations.
  • Develop relationships with new and existing customers to maintain service quality.

Job description

Compensation: $25/hr. - $30/hr. depending on experience and location.

Essential Job Duties
  • Assist service managers and estimators in providing documentation for any mechanical or electronic repairs services needed.
  • Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents.
  • Perform bumper to bumper mechanical and electrical repairs, including OEM software programing, ADAS calibrations and diagnostics.
  • Develop relationships with new customers and provide a high level of service to existing customers to maintain customer relationships.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications

Education & Experience: 1-2 years of ADAS experience, Diploma/Certification from Technical School or higher in the field(s) of Mechanical Repair or Electrical/Diagnostic Repair

Preferred Qualifications
  • High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent desired.
  • Experience in automotive service and diagnostic equipment is a plus.
  • Experience with estimating systems, like TCC, Mitchell, or All Data.
  • Steering, suspension, or 4-wheel alignment experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to identify and perform needed calibration on vehicle.
  • Simple messages communicated orally.
  • May write brief messages and keep simple records.
  • May explain and offer guidance on routine procedures.
  • Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
  • Possess and display a strong and healthy work ethic.
  • Detail-oriented.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. On occasions an employee may be asked to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment. Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions. May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). Some positions in this classification may involve operating a motor vehicle for work-related duties. Employees assigned driving responsibilities must meet all applicable eligibility and safety requirements.
