Northrop Grumman in Chandler, AZ is hiring junior to mid-level GNC engineers to design, develop, and test software and simulation toolchains for missile flight applications. On-site role focused on 6DoF simulations and validating flight code within a team.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience (various levels) and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. ERAP eligibility and a strong background in GNC are preferred.

Qualificações

• Directly related Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) experience.

We are recruiting for junior and mid-level engineers with backgrounds in Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GNC) Engineering to support our team in Chandler, AZ. Due to the nature of this work, this position will be 100% on‑site.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, verify, and test high-quality software and simulation toolchains
• Work on a 6 degree of freedom (6DoF) simulation to design and test missile flight code
• Work with 6DoF simulation models to evaluate system performance
• Experience with missile flight dynamics, autopilot and guidance design, and implementation into missile flight code
• Experience with various trajectory optimization software and tools

Basic Qualifications for Levels 1-4:

• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of professional experience (Level 1)
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 1 year (Level 2)
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year (Level 3)
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years (Level 4)
• Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
• Directly related Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline
• Top Secret clearance

This requisition is eligible for ERAP in accordance with the Space ERAP criteria - Space Employee Referral Award Program (ERAP).

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $184,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $0.00 - $0.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
