Job summary

FOCUS Team Focus Insurance Group is seeking a customer-focused professional to provide concierge service for insureds and agents. You will respond to policyholder and agent inquiries by phone, locate and prep policy documents, and coordinate renewals with underwriters.

The role requires 3–5 years in Property & Casualty insurance, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a role that blends call-center tasks with client relationship management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree; business focus preferred.
  • 3–5 years servicing or selling Property & Casualty Insurance Commercial policies.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries from policyholders and agents via phone.
  • Locate policies, review for accuracy, and set up for delivery to policyholders.
  • Process FNOS and renewal tasks; manage cancellations and communications.
  • Maintain follow-up on outstanding items and ensure timely closures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary:

Develop, support and maintain relationships with Insureds and Agents to provide concierge service. Answers and responds to incoming calls from policyholders and agents inquiring about small to mid-size commercial policy coverage accounts on behalf of our client, the carrier.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Receive incoming phone calls and tasks regarding a policy document request, billing inquiry or renewal review.

  • Locate new or renewal policies in the system, review for accuracy and set up for delivery to the policyholder. Communicate with insureds, agents and underwriters to ensure policy renewals are bound, provide task and billing updates, cancellation review, policy status when necessary.

  • Set up accounts in system and process FNOS (First Notice Of service) and FNOS Renewal tasks.

  • Process insured request cancellations and White Glove pre-cancellation communication.

  • Take ownership. Maintain adequate suspense on outstanding items and follow up in a timely manner until its conclusion.

  • Please note other duties maybe assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Associate or bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, business degree preferred; or two (2) to four (4) years Agency experience in Personal & Commercial Lines including homeowners and other lines; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-5 years' experience servicing or selling Property & Casualty Insurance Commercial policies. Previous call center experience a plus.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and clients. Bilingual (English and Spanish) language skills preferred.

Physical Demands:

Ability to work a rotating shift, with hours extending to 8:00pm ET.

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
