Qualifications

• Active nursing license in California (LVN); compact license if working across state lines.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing management experience.
• Experience in long-term care settings.
• Experience with Point Click Care charting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and use of Infection Control Manual to ensure patient safety.
• Participate in Quality Improvement Program implementation.
• Utilize Quality Life Manual for patient placement and monitoring.
• Notify departments of patient status changes (room changes, LOA, admissions, discharges).
• Conduct patient and family education.
• Administer medications timely according to facility policy.
• Administer treatments timely according to facility policy.
• Receive, transcribe, and execute physician orders as permitted by Nurse Practice Act.
• Take rounds with physicians when needed.
