Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking an Employment Litigation Attorney licensed in California to support a leading global law firm. This remote role requires active CA bar and up-to-date experience in California employment litigation, including defending employers in related matters.

The assignment is 6 months, starting January 2027, with 35-40 hours per week. Candidates must reside in eligible states and refrain from concurrent employment during the contract.

Qualifications

• Must hold active California bar license and be licensed in a listed state.
• 5+ years in California employment litigation.
• Experience defending employers in wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment matters.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Must refrain from any concurrent employment during the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Support California employment defense litigation from case assessment through resolution.
• Research and analyze California employment law and procedural issues.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Analyze case materials and assist with litigation strategy and preparation.
• Collaborate with attorneys to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

Job description

Beacon Hill's client, a leading global law firm, is seeking Employment Litigation Attorneys who are actively licensed in California and have experience handling California employment litigation matters to support their team.

Location

• Remote (Candidates must reside in and be actively licensed in the same eligible state in which the firm has an office. Candidates must also be actively licensed in California.)
• Eligible states: California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington State, and Washington, D.C.

Start & Duration

• Start: Likely January 2027, with the possibility of starting earlier
• Estimated Duration: 6-month assignment

Contract & Working Hours

• Concurrent employment: Not permitted
• Hours: Approximately 35-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
• Pay: $100-$115/hour, depending on experience

Qualifications

• Must reside in and hold an active bar license in good standing in an eligible location listed above, and must also hold an active California bar license
• 5+ years of California employment litigation experience, including recent relevant work within the past three years
• Experience defending employers in wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment matters, and related employment matters
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to refrain from all concurrent work throughout the assignment, including other legal employment, contract engagements, or a separate practice
