Job summary

Terracon seeks a Regulatory Compliance Project Manager to lead environmental regulatory compliance initiatives across Northern and Southern California, with office locations in East Bay, Los Angeles, or Sacramento. The role partners with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-profile projects across the state.

You will support all aspects of environmental regulatory compliance projects, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and adherence to scope and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, geology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5–7 years’ related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
• Stormwater/NPDES/SWPPP (Industrial and Commercial)
• RCRA/Hazardous waste
• Compliance auditing
• Oil Storage/SPCC plans
• SARA Title III (Tier II/HMBP/TRI) reporting
• Industrial wastewater
• Air permitting (Title V and minor source)
• Client communication and account development
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) or similar registration/certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of a small to medium-sized project, ensuring scope, schedule and budget alignment.
• Lead safety efforts, develop and implement safety plans, and ensure compliance with safety rules.
• Coordinate with APR and accounting for reviews, invoicing and change orders.
• Communicate project status through meetings and reports to client.
• Allocate resources, track progress, and mitigate risks to meet milestones.
