Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate TMDE and lab standards.
  • Operate under close supervision with technical guidance as required.
  • Review standards and specs to develop calibration templates, procedures and QA guidelines.
  • Provide customer service at a high level and maintain professionalism with Clients and Management.
  • Develop skills for completing calibrations using established procedures and practices.
  • Learn and understand the ISO 17025 standard as it relates to calibration.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment and lab.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the lab manager or lead.

Calibration Technician

National Calibration Inc. (NCI) was established in 1955 and is a growing full-service ISO 17025 Accredited Calibration Laboratory with multiple offices located throughout the Southwestern United States.

We have an immediate opening in our Las Vegas office. Full-Time (with a Part-Time to Full-Time transition option available). As a calibration technician, you will receive paid training, career growth opportunities, and exposure to cutting-edge technologies in a fast-growing company. Ideal candidate should have some mechanical skills, basic math aptitude and the ability to work independently or with a team. We are looking for detail-oriented thinkers, with hands on training and problem solving to join our team either as an experienced calibration technician or an entry-level calibration technician.

Calibration Technician will be associated with basic calibration, quality, customer service, and operational requirements associated with the position. Daily duties will be done in direct coordination with the Lead Technician of the office. Technicians will be responsible for following calibration procedures, ensuring safety and learning the proper techniques, theory, application, development, quality processes, and upkeep of their training records.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate physical/dimensional and basic electronics test measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) and laboratory standards with experience in all technical areas.
  • Operate under close supervision and achieve technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.
  • Learn to review standards and specifications to develop calibration templates, procedures, and set guidelines for approval through QA and in accordance with international standards.
  • Provide Customer Service at a high level and always maintain professionalism while relaying information to Clients and Management.
  • Focus on developing skills for completing calibrations using developed procedures and practices to ensure and understand the operation and use of the equipment being serviced.
  • Learn and understand the Quality System and the ISO 17025 standard as it relates to calibration.
  • Effectively communicate with other employees in all departments.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment and lab.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the calibration lab manager or lead.
