Job summary

Transcat is seeking an entry-level Calibration Technician I to join our lab. You will learn calibration fundamentals, perform measurements, and gain hands-on experience across multiple disciplines.

This role offers on-the-job training, career progression toward Calibration Technician II, and a safety-conscious work environment. Travel will be 25–50% of the schedule. Strong attention to detail and a customer-service mindset help you succeed while supporting essential metrology work.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of training materials and on-the-job instruction.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated learner with ability to learn calibration processes.
• Ability to communicate well with supervisor and work independently or in a team.
• 3+ years driving experience with a valid license.

Responsibilities

• Learn calibration fundamentals and measurement techniques.
• Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques.
• Maintain calibration standards.
• Work across at least three disciplines (dimensional, electrical, torque, temperature, pressure).
• Perform calibration work in lab or on-site at customers.
• Fulfill duties safely per company standards.
• Travel 25-50% of the schedule.
• Other duties as assigned.
