Job summary

PCB Piezotronics, Inc. in North Carolina is seeking an entry‑level Calibration Technician I to perform basic tests and calibrations on manufactured products.

You will follow written procedures, work under supervision, and contribute to accurate test data and product quality. Responsibilities include electrical and environmental testing, adherence to ESD and safety guidelines, and documenting procedures and results.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in mechanical or electrical technology or equivalent.
• Entry-level experience expected.
• Observes safety precautions when operating test equipment and handling liquids.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical, mechanical and environmental tests and calibrations on less complex PCB products.
• Follow ESD procedures and maintain clean, orderly work area.
• Follow written procedures and product routers; complete travelers with steps and dates.
• Ensure products meet test/calibration specifications; notify Leadership if not.
• Verify calibration stickers are valid and report expired equipment.
• Assist with safety rules and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

As a Calibration Technician I NC with PCB Piezotronics, Inc., you will perform a variety of basic tests on manufactured products by following written procedures, under close supervision.

Additional Duties

• Responsible for performing routine electrical, mechanical and environmental tests and calibrations on less complex PCB products.
• Responsible for understanding and using proper ESD procedures as outlined in the ESD manual.
• Performs all necessary tests efficiently and accurately by following established written procedures; follows steps on the product job router, writes legibly, signs and dates traveler when steps are completed.
• Responsible for making sure that all products meet established test and/or calibration specifications and for notifying Leadership when they do not.
• Ensures that test equipment calibration stickers are not expired before using and notifies Leadership if expired or close to expiration; communicates with Leadership concerning any problems with product testing equipment.
• Follows safety rules and keeps area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Two-year technical degree in mechanical or electrical technology or equivalent. Training in-house, on the job, specific to product-line
• Experience: Entry-level.
• Other: Observes all safety precautions per department guidelines when operating test equipment, especially when handling liquid nitrogen, operating testing ovens and when performing ballistic tests. Basic computer skills required in operating calibration software.
• Travel Requirement: As needed
