Job summary

Glatt Air Techniques Inc. in Ramsey, NJ, is seeking a Calibration Technician to join our service team.

This role involves traveling to client sites up to 80% to perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and diagnosis on Glatt equipment. You will calibrate pneumatic and electronic instruments per FDA and NIST standards, read schematics, and support pharmaceutical processes while adhering to safety guidelines and driving to various locations.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in engineering technology or 5 to 7 years of related experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting electric and pneumatic schematics.
• Computer literacy required; some experience with databases is desirable.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license; OSHA and NEC/NFPA guidelines knowledge; ARC Flash training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Travel up to 80% to customer sites to calibrate, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair Glatt equipment.
• Calibrate pneumatic and electronic control instruments per FDA and NIST standards; support GAT Pharmaceutical Services.

Calibration Technician

Job description:

• Travel requirement is up to 80% (half of it local, rest overnight) to customer sites to provide instrument calibration, preventative maintenance, diagnosis and repair services on Glatt equipment.
• Perform calibration of pneumatic and electronic control instruments consistent with FDA and NIST standards. Support GAT Pharmaceutical Services
• Division with calibration of instrumentation.
• Experience required in reading and interpreting electric and pneumatic schematics.
• Computer literacy is a must; some experience in working with database is desirable.

Preferred skills:

• Two-year degree in engineering technology or 5 to 7 years of related experience.
• Technical skills required: calibration experience with temperature, air flow, pressure and moisture sensing instrumentation; basic knowledge of PLC’s, computers, and control system components; and a comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical process equipment.
• Must posses a valid driver’s license. Knowledge of OSHA and NEC/NFPA guidelines required; ARC Flash training will be required.
• Must be able to work while standing on ladder.
• Knowledge or previous training in confined space entry is required for potential entry into confined spaces within Glatt supplied equipment under customer supervision.

Salary range: starting at $70,000 yearly
