Job summary

HydraForce, a Bosch Rexroth company, is seeking a Calibration Technician to calibrate gauges used in manufacturing and test stands in Lincolnshire, IL. You will perform internal calibrations and coordinate outside calibration services as needed, ensuring accuracy and timely documentation.

Responsibilities include maintaining calibration records, updating Q-Pulse, assisting audits, and supporting continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to read written instructions and diagrams; strong math skills.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate gauges fixed in assembly/test areas (flow meters, pressure transducers, collets, vacuum gauges).
• Verify calibration status of electric torque wrenches.
• Coordinate outside calibration with POs and suppliers.
• Update Q-Pulse and daily workload; communicate calibration status.
• Assist audits and continuous improvement projects.

Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible to get all gauges calibrated either internally or send out to a 3rd party calibration company.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Keep records of calibration that take place
• Perform calibrations of hand-held gauges such as: Calipers, micrometer, air gauges, air spindles, test blocks, torque wrenches, depth gauges, and other gauges that can be calibrated internally.
• Calibrate gauges that are fixed in assembly area/test stands: Flow meters, pressure transducers, collets, vacuum gauges and others.
• Verify calibration status of electric torque wrenches
• Assist in outside calibration activities by creating and receiving POs
• Communicate to team when equipment is found out of calibration.
• Communicate the need to update calibration documents when needed.
• Update Q-Pulse and daily workload
• Perform calibrations on time
• Communicate the need to create TDRs for when schedule cannot be met.
• Participate in Gage R&R’s.
• Complete workload on time
• Able to communicate processes for internal and external audits.
• Assist on documented continuous improvement projects
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

• HS school diploma or equivalent
• Some manufacturing experience a plus
• Proficient with MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook
• Able to read written instructions, visual control plans and diagrams
• Strong math skills
• Ability to function effectively as part of a team
• Knowledge of quality control equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges preferred
• Ability to see details at close range
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English
• Must be able to meet quality and productivity standards

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

• Standing and repetitive lifting
• Ability to stay on task for long periods of time
• Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 35-50 lbs.

Work Environment

• A portion of the work time is spent in a manufacturing environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high. The remaining of the time will be in a temperature controlled room.
• PPE required as determined by company safety standards: safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes

Salary and Benefits

The hourly range for the position is $20- $24/hour. The individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
