Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.
  2. Responsible for smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customers upon fulfilling their requests.
  3. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work station, according to 5S standards, at all times.
  4. Ensure customer satisfaction through product availability, quality, outstanding service, and sanitary conditions. Maintain an adequate presentation with the proper variety of cakes to meet customer needs.
  5. Maintain, with the Bakery Manager, the 'Deco Pac' inventories at actual physical levels taken annually, as determined by the corporate office.
  6. Ensure that variety standards (e.g., Butter Crème and seasonal colors) are maintained daily.
  7. Responsible, along with the bakery manager, for maintaining production and shrink as per company guidelines.
  8. Operate bakery equipment including ovens, mixers, and utensils.
  9. May be asked to be in charge of the baker in the absence of the manager and first clerk.
  10. Maintain a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times.
  11. Handle all customer special orders (e.g., cake orders).
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  13. Ensure all associates comply with corporate and state sanitation regulations.
  14. Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

6-12 months of related experience. Basic literacy skills. Basic computer skills. Satisfactory performance reviews. Strong communication skills.
