Job summary

Harris Teeter, LLC. is seeking a part-time associate to take excellent care of customers by meeting their needs and exceeding expectations. The role includes stocking, food preparation, customer service, and maintaining cleanliness across the Fresh Foods department.

Training will be provided to associates who engage with customers regularly. Responsibilities include assisting shoppers, preparing items, operating standard equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and food-safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and greet customers on the sales floor.
• Assist customers with shopping needs and answer questions about products.
• Unload stock, stock shelves, and ensure products are properly refrigerated and displayed.
• Prepare, package, weigh, and price items according to Harris Teeter standards.
• Operate equipment to prepare and portion products per customer requests.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
