Food City is seeking an entry-level Food Service Associate to support daily operations in a customer-centric store environment in Pigeon Forge, TN. You will assist in preparing foods, decorating cakes and cupcakes, and maintaining display cases, while ensuring accuracy of orders and timing for customer deliveries.

The role emphasizes a friendly, dependable attitude with the ability to follow directions, handle multiple tasks, and work on-site during scheduled shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions; perform routine tasks.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to time policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times in support of the company mission to “Run the Best Store in Town!”
• Maintain a positive attitude; create an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through teamwork.
• Greet and speak to customers; provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
• Prepare and produce “Quality” food & products to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Decorate specialty cakes, including use of photo cake computer; decorate cupcakes and cookies.
• Maintain cookie and cake cases; take telephone orders for food and specialty cakes.
• Rotate and date Food Service products; maintain inventory and reorder as needed.
• Keep display case and workstation neat and clean; ensure timely delivery of special cake orders.
• Cross-train in multiple areas with varying responsibilities.
