Job summary

Harris Teeter in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to assist customers on the sales floor and at checkout. You will work to meet shoppers' needs with friendly, accurate information while maintaining store standards.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering questions, stocking, cleaning, and collaborating with teammates. A high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos [in English].
• Ability to write simple correspondence [in English].
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates who only speak English.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers on the sales floor and sales counter. Provide information needed to meet customers' taste and meal requirements.
• Follow through on customer requests and ensure courteous, prompt service.
• Maintain store cleanliness and stock shelves; help with unloading and stocking.
• Assist in general store operations and teamwork with fellow associates.
