Job summary

Dairy Queen Mechanicsburg is seeking a Cake Decorator to join our fun, dynamic team. You will prepare and decorate cakes for special orders and walk-ins, following established standards while delivering exceptional service.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of cake decorating experience; you should be comfortable handling buttercream icing, airbrushing, and photocake, and able to lift up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced setting.

Starting between $13-15/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and decorate cakes according to specifications for both special orders and walk-in customers.
• Operate the cake decorating area following established standards and procedures.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of decorated cakes, especially during peak times.
• Ensure all cake products meet Dairy Queen® standards of quality and excellence.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding any significant issues.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least 1 year experience in cake decorating.
• Must be able to work with buttercream icing, airbrush, and photocake.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Exhibit a positive attitude, good manners, and proper personal hygiene.
• Work as a team member to ensure consistent quality and service.
• Practice established food handling procedures and meet local health regulations.
