Job summary

Walmart in Lancaster, SC is seeking a Deli/Bakery associate to prepare quality products, assist customers at the service counter, and move merchandise to the sales floor while upholding strict food safety standards.

You will help ensure fruit/vegetables, deli, bakery, dairy, and meat departments offer high-quality items, stock displays, and serve ready-to-eat foods. Cleanliness and temperature control are essential across duties.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers at the service counter and move incoming merchandise out to the salesfloor.
• Prepare quality deli, bakery, produce, dairy, meat, and other department items for customers and ready-to-sell display.
• Maintain strict food safety standards, including cleaning, temperature control, dating checks, and disposal of nonconforming items.

• Help customers find the products they are looking for
• Ensure high quality products are available in produce, deli, bakery, dairy, meat, and other departments
• Pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays
• Prepare and serve ready-to-eat food
• Assist customers in ordering cakes, fulfilling deli orders, or finding the right produce

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
