Job summary

Woods Supermarket is seeking a part-time team member in Colorado to support the bakery/fresh department. You will assist with food prep, stocking, display updates, and guest service, while upholding Woods’ D&E service standards and Hospitality 4 culture.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, following safety guidelines, and helping guests locate products. A 18+ year old with basic math and English literacy is required; flexible hours are offered in a friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Consistently demonstrate the Woods Supermarket D&E service and Hospitality 4 guidelines.
• Must adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, and company standards.
• Notify management of guest or teammate accidents or injuries.
• Report all safety risks and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.
• Be respectful, courteous, and helpful to other teammates.
• Stay current with all ads.
• Understand the store's layout and guide guests to products.
• Perform essential functions of the position with/without reasonable accommodation.
• Follow proper food handling and safety protocols.
• Ensure proper sanitation of department and equipment.
• Follow all technical manuals for processing of products, including label placement and packaging.
• Update displays, cases, and other guest-facing areas to showcase new items and promotions.

• Update displays, cases, and other guest-facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased.
• Prep, store, rotate and stock merchandise.
• Able to inform guests of department specific specials and make recommendations when asked.
• Provide guests with fresh products that they have ordered and the correct portion size (or as close as possible to the amount ordered) to prevent shrink.
• Use all equipment in the department according to company guidelines.
• Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients in merchandise.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness. Review \"sell by\" dates and take appropriate action.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions note any discrepancies in inventory.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
• Follow all food safety guidelines
• Prepare foods according to the food temperature logs and follow cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare and mix ingredients according to recipe, using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment.
