Job summary

Big Y Foods, Inc. is looking for a Bakery Specialist/Cake Decorator who will prepare and ensure the freshest quality products. You will produce high quality cakes and baked goods and maintain bakery department standards while assisting customers with knowledge and guidance.

The role requires cake decorating skills, a professional appearance, and a willingness to cross-train and adapt to store needs. This is an on-site, customer-facing position within the Plainville, CT store.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in cake decorating and ordering (as assigned) for the entire sales areas of the bakery department.
• Ability to represent and support Big Y’s culture of caring while living our Mission & Vision.
• Must project a clean and professional appearance.
• Ability to operate within company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Willingness to cross train and learn other areas as needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store.
