University of Minnesota is seeking a Cage Wash Lead to ensure smooth daily operations of sanitized cage wash equipment and to lead the cage wash team across multiple Twin Cities facilities. You will troubleshoot, manage inventory by cage census, and act as a subject expert on cage wash operations.

You will onboard staff, mentor peers, and partner with leadership to optimize workflows while maintaining AAALAC/IACUC standards. This is an essential, on-site role with occasional overtime demands.

Competenze

• BA/BS degree or four-year combination of related education and practice.
• High degree of personal reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to work 100% onsite to support daily hands-on facility operations.
• Hold a valid driver7s license and meet UMN background standards for motor vehicle operation.

Mansioni

• Oversee 30% of cage wash daily operations including safety checks and machine troubleshooting.
• Lead training for cage wash operations, onboarding, SOP compliance and mentorship.
• Coordinate facility rounds, inventory, and daily census adjustments with team leads.
• Conduct routine facility walkthroughs and coordinate with Facilities Management on preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate logs and ensure audit-readiness for AAALAC/IACUC inspections.
