Job summary

Chumash Casino Resort is seeking a cashier oriented candidate to support the Cage/Vault Department. You will handle window banks, cashiering duties, and rotations across Main Cage, Kiosk Operations, Vault, and Count Room.

The role requires one year of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Tribal Gaming License. Native American hiring preference applies, with opportunities to train others and promote teamwork within One.Team.Chumash.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year experience in a related field.
  • Hospitality, sales, marketing, promotions, and/or public relations experience preferred.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.

Responsibilities

  • Provides the highest level of Guest Service by performing cashiering functions in support of the Cage/Vault Department.
  • Responsible and accountable for a window bank, as assigned.
  • May be assigned to Main Cage, Kiosk Operations, Vault Operations, and Hard/Soft Count Room.
  • Makes change, redeems tickets, and chips for guests from the assigned bank.
  • May verify transactions completed by other Team Members as required.
  • Trains new Cashiers as assigned.
  • Processes transactions quickly and accurately.
  • Remains current with Title 31 regulations.
  • Processes fills and credits to Table Games when assigned a Card Room bank.
  • Issues and receives Food & Beverage Cashier banks.
  • Issues and receives Slot banks.
  • Processes Credit & Debit Card advances.
  • Performs check cashing.
  • Issues and receives Marker transactions.
  • Rotates as a Kiosk Operator in Kiosk Operation.
  • Processes Team Member transactions, including payments and daily recording of tips.
  • Knowledgeable in casino promotions; handles inquiries accordingly.
  • Upholds a work environment that promotes teamwork and company values.

  • Processes transactions quickly and accurately.

  • Processes fills and credits to Table Games when assigned a Card Room bank.
  • Issues and receives Food & Beverage Cashier banks.
  • Issues and receives Slot banks.
  • Processes Credit & Debit Card advances.
  • Performs check cashing.
  • Issues and receives Marker transactions.
  • Rotates as a Kiosk Operator in Kiosk Operation.
  • Processes Team Member transactions, which includes payments and daily recording of employee tips.
  • Is knowledgeable in promotional events within the casino.
  • Resolving or redirecting inquiries from guests regarding casino promotions and services.
  • Upholds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • One year experience in a related field.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, sales, marketing, promotions, and/or public relations is preferred.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
