Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a casino cashier to handle guest monetary transactions at the window, maintain accurate asset balances, and provide friendly service.

Responsibilities include processing cash and credit, issuing markers, assisting with rewards, and coordinating with casino hosts to ensure a positive gaming experience. The role requires standing for most of the shift and adherence to gaming regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Basic Math skills with knowledge of currency.
• Ability to operate calculators, computers, and money counters for cash and coin.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to read and speak English.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
• Must pass heightened background review.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate handling of guest and company funds by processing all transactions and documentation in accordance with gaming regulations and company policies.
• Exchange gaming chips and tickets, cash checks, and process markers and fills.
• Maintain bank balance and safeguard casino cage assets during assigned shift.
• Assist customers with filling out credit applications and maintain all customer credit files.
• Issue window markers and safety deposit boxes to guests.
• Enter markers, fill and credit slips into computer.
• Assist guests with inquiries and advise on current promotions.
• Create Boyd Rewards accounts for guests and explain Boyd Rewards Club and promotions.
• Work with Casino Hosts to arrange compliments issued by supervisors.

Job Description

Executes guest monetary transactions in an assigned window bank. Maintain an accurate balance count of company assets while providing excellent customer service. Greats guests in a friendly and positive manner. Able to do a variety of guest service tasks related to both cashiering and Boyd Reward Club tasks. Responsible for assisting guests with cash/credit transactions, player accounts, point redemptions, promotion and event details to ensure a positive gaming experience. Protect the player database accurately inputting all required fields required

• Maintain accurate handling of guest and company funds by processing all transactions and documentation in accordance with gaming regulations, company policies and procedures.
• Exchange gaming chips and tickets, cash checks, and process markers and fills.
• Maintain bank balance and safeguard casino cage assets during assigned shift.
• Assist customers with filling out credit applications and maintain all customer credit files.
• Issue window markers and safety deposit boxes to guests.
• Enter markers, fill and credit slips into computer.
• Assist guests with inquiries and advise on current promotions.
• Maintain professional appearance.
• Keep workstation fully stocked and organized.
• Performance of duties requires standing for majority of shift.
• Creates new Boyd Rewards accounts for guests, prints Boyd Reward Cards when requested, answers Boyd Reward questions about the Boyd Rewards Club and promotions
• Works with Casino Hosts to assist guests in getting complimentaries issued by Assistant Cage Supervisor, Cage Supervisor or Cage Manager.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.

• Must be able to bend, push, lift, and carry up to 26 pounds in weight.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to read and speak English.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
• Must pass heightened background review
