Job summary

Resorts World New York City is hiring a Cage Cashier to perform money verifications, coin transactions, and check cashing with accuracy and integrity. The role includes processing jackpots, redeeming gaming vouchers, and making cash deposits while upholding internal controls.

You will maintain knowledge of the POS register and voucher systems, deliver excellent customer service, and adapt to varying shifts in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Must be 18+ with money handling experience.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain required license.
  • Minimum 12 months money handling experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret policy and procedure manuals and follow instructions.
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages a plus.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cash and money verifications, and handle coin transactions.
  • Process jackpots and redeem gaming vouchers for cash.
  • Record receipts and make cash deposits to Cage.
  • Operate POS cash register and voucher redemption systems.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and maintain professional appearance.
  • Work varying shifts to meet business needs.

Job ResponsibilitiesThe Cage Cashier is responsible for performing verifications on loose and bundled money, coin transactions and check cashing and processing jackpots check cashing and redeems valid gaming vouchers received from patrons for an equivalent amount of cash.This is an Evergreen position.Essential Duties/Core CompetenciesPerform all monetary transactions presented, adhering to all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls and government regulations.Safeguard company assets, prepare all necessary internal paperwork and completes IRS paperwork, CTRS, W2G’s and MTL’s.Responsible for cash transactions from bars and cashes out all beverage servers at the end of the shift.Properly record receipts and makes cash deposit to Cage.Function as a retail, valet and beverage cashier as necessary.Maintain working knowledge of P.O.S. cash register system and gaming voucher ticket redemption system.Attend periodic meetings and training sessions.Demonstrate and provide outstanding customer service and employee relations at all times. Present oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times.Perform other duties as assigned.Work/Educational ExperienceMust be at least 18 years old and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the applicable statute, rules and regulations.Twelve (12) months prior money handling work experience.Essential RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Fluency in English required, second language a plus. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal, and work with mathematical such as probability and inference. Ability to create, read and analyze spread sheets of statistical data.
