Job summary

Helena-West Helena Public Schools is hiring a Cafeteria Worker to provide nutritious meals in a clean, efficient dining environment for students and staff.

This full-time position involves serving from the cafeteria counter, assisting in food preparation, cleaning counters and tables, and maintaining a sanitary dining area under the Food/Nutrition Service department.

Salary range is $16,280 to $21,030 per year, with work year determined by contract.

Qualifications

• Certificate, license, or other legal credential required.
• Degree(s) required and area of major study.
• Kind and amount of prior job experience required.
• Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of food portions and prepares cafeteria counter.
• Serves students and staff from the cafeteria counter.
• Removes used dishes and assists in the cleaning of counters, tables, and furnishings in the dining area.
• Maintains the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashion.
• Performs related duties as required including duties at special meal functions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or the Superintendent's designee.

Education
