Job summary

FREDONIA-MOCCASIN UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT #6 Together We Grow is seeking a School Cafeteria Worker for a part-time role (30 hours/week) to prepare and serve nutritious meals in a fast-paced school setting. You will maintain clean dining areas, ensure food safety standards, and assist with daily operations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service environments such as school cafeterias, restaurants, catering or hospitality settings is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, proper food handling practices, and operating kitchen equipment.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, and serve a variety of nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and menu specifications (2–4 lines).
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, microwaves, food processors, and dishwashers safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of all food preparation areas, dining spaces, and kitchen equipment by following strict cleaning routines and sanitizing procedures.
• Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques, including correct storage, temperature control, and portioning.
• Support food safety management by adhering to sanitation standards, recording temperature logs, and participating in regular safety training sessions.
• Manage weight handling tasks related to food prep and distribution while ensuring compliance with health regulations.

We work on a 4 day work week. You will earn sick pay. This is a part time position at 30 hours a week. It starts at minimum wage. You will be enrolled in the Arizona State Retirement System.
