Job summary

The Roosevelt School District 66 is seeking a part-time Cafeteria Monitor (9-month year, 15 hours per week) to supervise student meals, maintain order, and assist with cafeteria flow and cleanup in coordination with custodial staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid AZ fingerprint clearance card. Prior experience with children is preferred; strong supervision and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise groups of children in a fast-paced school setting.
• Experience working with children in schools or childcare is preferred.
• Must have valid AZ fingerprint clearance card.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during breakfast and/or lunch to ensure safety and behavior.
• Maintain order in lines, seating, and cafeteria traffic flow.
• Assist younger students with items, trays, and seating as needed.
• Collaborate with custodial and cafeteria staff to keep a clean, safe environment.
• Report safety or behavior issues to administrators and respond to emergencies.
