Job summary

Frederick County Public Schools is seeking a Lunch Monitor to supervise students during meal service and assist with cafeteria cleanliness and flow in the cafeteria. The position is non-benefited with three 45-minute shifts per week, at a pay rate of $17.13 per hour.

Responsibilities include enforcing lunchtime routines, communicating professionally with students and staff, and supporting safe, orderly dismissal and classroom transitions.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write at a 10th grade level.
• No certification required.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student behavior during lunch service.
• Assist with cafeteria cleanliness and recycling.
• Help manage the flow of students in the cafeteria.
• Communicate with students and staff professionally.
• Dismiss classes in an orderly manner.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
