Qualifications

• No degree required; experience with school-age students preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication; ability to read and write effectively.

Responsibilities

• Creates a respectful, positive, and pleasant environment in the cafeteria.
• Implements procedures and practices that result in efficient entry and exit of students in the cafeteria.
• Assists students as needed, e.g., helps younger children open milk or packets.
• Assists students with special needs as appropriate.
• Uses positive strategies to redirect inappropriate student behavior.
• Follows established procedures for ensuring assigned areas are safe.
• Works collaboratively with administration, principals, secretaries, staff, and other stakeholders.
• Attends work and arrives to work on time.
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Adheres to the Teacher Code of Ethics as defined by Tennessee Law.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The purpose of this job is to monitor student behavior and assist students during lunch.

Compensation:

• $15 per hour
