Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Ohio Certification/Licensure by the State of Ohio, Department of Education.
• Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, teachers, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and genuine interest in supporting student learning.
• Ability to follow directions, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional standards.
• Ability to manage groups of students calmly and respectfully.
• Dependable, punctual, and responsible.
• Ability to stand and move around for extended periods.
• Background check required per school district policy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch periods in the cafeteria and designated areas.
• Assist students as needed (opening containers, basic guidance, etc.).
• Maintain order and encourage appropriate behavior.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of the lunchroom.
• Communicate concerns or incidents to school staff promptly.
• Follow school policies and procedures.
• Create an environment for success, foster a love of learning, and encourage creativity.
• Promote and maintain a safe environment as defined by district policy and procedures.
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record and be punctual.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or principal.
