Presidential Staffing Solutions, LLC is seeking a Food Service Worker to join the team at our VA Health Center. The Food Service Worker performs routine tasks including food preparation, counter service, cashiering, inventory rotation, and strict sanitation maintenance.

Job requirements in the Portland metro area are shaped by regional employers like OHSU, PSU, PCC, and local school districts, with emphasis on sanitation and safety. This position may require evening and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a busser, barback, food runner, or similar preferred.
• Familiarity with food safety guidelines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Availability to work evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Basic assembly: preparing simple menu items, trimming produce, slicing meats, and assembling patient trays or student meals.
• Line serving: setting up, refilling, and serving hot or cold items on the cafeteria line.
• Portion control: measuring exact servings according to recipe cards or diet restrictions.
• Catering setup: transporting meal carts and setting up spaces for events.
