Job summary

Penn Medicine's Lancaster General Hospital is seeking a reliable Cafeteria Associate to support daily food service operations and catered events. You will help prepare and serve food and beverages, assist customers, and maintain a clean, welcoming dining environment.

This on-site position requires at least 1 year in food service and cash register experience, plus strong customer service and communication skills. Shifts vary from 6:30am to 9:00pm, with every other weekend and holiday.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in the food service industry.
• At least 1 year of experience operating a cash register.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and store food and beverage items according to established guidelines.
• Accurately portion and present food in an appealing manner.
• Maintain well-stocked and organized self-serve stations.
• Assist with catered events, including tracking items distributed and returned.
• Operate the cash register as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of cafeteria and dining areas, including equipment.
• Contribute to a positive and welcoming experience for all customers.
