Job summary

Bishop Carroll Catholic High School is seeking a Food Service Aide to support cafeteria operations, supervise students at meals, and assist with related duties. The role emphasizes safety, order, and respectful interaction with students in a school setting.

Under principal supervision, you will help maintain an orderly environment, assist with meal service, clean spaces, and report concerns. Prior lunch or food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Organizational and problem-solving abilities are required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Maintain composure and perform duties under pressure.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the cafeteria during mealtime.
• Ensure tables and surrounding areas are clean.
• Supervise the playground and classroom during lunch.
• Assist with food purchases, distribution, disposal, and tray return.
• Monitor seating in assigned areas and circulate to assist.
• Organize groups for orderly dismissal from the cafeteria.
• Assist with supervising in libraries and escort students to buses.
• Report safety concerns or infractions to staff.
