The Las Olas Company / Riverside Hotel is seeking a Café Supervisor within the Food & Beverage department. You will work under the Outlet Manager and F&B Director to maintain café and beverage service standards.

You will supervise staff, coordinate front-of-house operations, and train new team members to ensure guest satisfaction and efficient service. This role involves active floor presence and daily shift reporting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in food & beverage or hospitality.

  • Conducts daily lineups and checks time/attendance.
  • Ensures cleanliness and maintenance of front, back, and outdoor areas.

SUMMARY

Under the guidance of the Outlet Manager and Food & Beverage Director and within policies and procedures in force, ensures that the café and beverage area are at operational level in regards to service procedures and New River Café and Bakery Standards. Works directly under the Outlet Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Includes the following, but other duties may be assigned:

  • Assists Outlet Manager in direction and supervision of all aspects of outlets personnel in all capacities thereby ensuring top efficiency and high guest satisfaction.
  • Assists Outlet Manager in coordination and supervises FOH preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverage products to ensure highest quality at all times.
  • Assists Outlet Manager in training all new and current employees.
  • Monitor the performance of the outlets through verification and analysis of customer satisfaction systems.
  • Greet guests. Ensure staff members approach guests on time and follow all steps of service.
  • Reviews with Outlet Manager any information of past, present and upcoming events.
  • Maintain a presence on the floor during meal period, and follow through with opening/closing shift duties including checking out the team members as they complete their shifts.
  • Inspects all side station are fully stocked for upcoming shift and ensure daily side job lists are followed and completed.
  • Responsible for setup procedures in all outlets, and overall staff appearance.
  • Conduct daily lineups.
  • Check in all scheduled staff and report violations of the time and attendance policy.
  • Resolves any complaints, questions or comments from guests.
  • Ensure applicable side work is completed by service team.
  • Ensure front, back and outside of restaurant is always clean and well-maintained.
  • Ensures that all cashiers and servers paperwork has been completed properly.
  • Daily inspection of restaurant for physical appearance/maintenance needs (burned out light bulbs, broken furniture, aligned tables, flowers, plants, clean windows, etc.)
  • Follow up on any request/message from previous shift manager.
  • Inspect all menus for good condition.
  • Create great teamwork and moral amongst staff.
  • Send daily shift reports to Outlet Manager.

Performs any other duties assigned by Manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands, finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED Required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in food and beverage, and/or hospitality related work experience required.
