Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living’s The Commons in Lincoln is hiring a Café Server to join our dining team. You will deliver meals and beverages to residents, ensure a welcoming dining environment, and support residents with special dietary needs while maintaining a clean, efficient service flow.

This full-time role requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with shifts Tuesday through Saturday starting at 6:30am.

Qualifications

• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and related Health Department regulations for food service operations.
• Able to serve food and beverages for residents promptly and efficiently.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Primarily a standing position; stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals on a timely basis that are presentable and appetizing in appearance.
• Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Assists residents with meal selection or special needs.
• Sets up the dining room for the next scheduled meal.
• Assists in inventorying supplies.

• Sets up the dining room for the next scheduled meal.
• Assists in inventorying supplies.

Requirements

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must have knowledge of dietary procedures and related Health Department regulations and guidelines for food service operations.
• Must be able to serve food and beverages for residents in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
• This is primarily a standing position and required to stand in one place for extended periods of time.
